About Colborne Lodge

Providing safe, comfortable homes for seniors seeking peace and community.

History

Colborne Lodge Inc. came into existence in September 1980. This not-for-profit senior citizens' apartment building was the result of a local contractor and member of Fairview Baptist Church's vision uniting with a new government program to provide affordable senior housing. As part of the plan, the original house that occupied the property and served as an Isolation Hospital remained, and the building was expanded on either end. Residents started to occupy the building in 1982.
